Laser Facial Hair Removal
Even though the thought of facial hair removal is often associated with women, the fact is that even men require removal of facial hair for various reasons. But whether it is men or women looking to get rid of facial hair, there are certain core principles that will apply and one will need to know if they choose to use laser treatment. When laser facial hair removal is used as it should be, the results are often noticeable quite quickly.

First thing to do is to look for an experienced practitioner who understands the intricacies of not only laser hair removal but facial laser hair removal. This is because the laser needs to be correctly prepared particularly where the hairs may be coarse. The more delicate areas are usually around the mouth and chin and these areas should not be exposed to too much laser treatment, something that often happens among inexperienced practitioners.
Another important thing to take note of, especially for people living in areas of hot climatic conditions, is the need to minimize exposure to sunlight on the areas of the face where the hairs are to be removed or have been removed i.e. before and after the treatment has taken place.
Before fully going with laser facial treatment, it is always a good idea that you have a test patch done to see how your skin reacts to the laser. Go for a place on your face that is less visible. That way, if the test is unsuccessful, you do not have to deal with a conspicuous mark for months after the procedure. If the test is successful, then you are safe to continue.
Among women, the chin area is a particularly notorious problem area when it comes to facial hair and where laser treatment would be beneficial. Another significant problem are for women is the upper lip. But the upper lip has another concern in that it is usually the most painful when it comes to get rid of hair. Plucking and electrolysis of hair on the upper lip easily and almost automatically triggers a tear. Laser removal is much gentler to the skin.
Full-blown sideburns would be something that some men would want to permanently get rid of but is an extremely rare occurrence among women. For women, the problem might not be sideburns per se but rather the hair from temple growing much lower down than ear level.
Often, trimming and shaving will only make the hair thicker and in any case does not serve as a permanent solution. Waxing on the other hand can be time consuming and tedious. When it comes to permanent removal, laser trumps most other methods due to its speed of working as well as the clean, almost non-traceable manner in which removal is achieved.
Whereas removal of facial hair in women can be a challenge, it does not compare to removal of facial hair among men. Men will usually have by far more facial hair than women and the task of even using laser can be arduous and will require a number of session to make sure each hair root has been dealt with.
